EUROPEAN COMMUNITY PAVILION Shaped like a huge, many faceted diamond, symbolizing Europe building its unity from its multifarious resources, the pavilion of the European Community (Common Market, Coal and Steel, Eurotom) offers a comprehensive view of the structure and functions of the European institutions whose foundation dates back to 1950. Their aim is economic and social progress through concerted action by the six countries and the removal of the barriers dividing Europe.
