The Fair's Main Mall features a promenade of fountains, pools and flowers leading through the heart of the Fairgrounds to Unisphere.

A broad axis leads through the center of the International and Industrial Areas from the Pool of Industry to the Unisphere with its Fountain of the Continents. "The Rocket Thrower," sculpted by Donald DeLeu and commissioned especially for the World's Fair, is situated midway along the Mall between the Fountains of the Fair and the Pool of Refelections
