Introduction

The French pavilion would consist of three buildings of pure geometric design.

A rectangular structure would house industrial exhibits, Maxim's famous Paris restaurant and a Moulin Rouge dining terrace. A pure white elipse would contain a 1500-seat theater where the original "Folies Bergere" would be presented. A towering pyramid would contain the Treasures of Versailles, a collection of French paintings and art objects.

Ground was broken for the pavilion on February 5, 1963. However it was never constructed and France did not participate at the Fair.
